A pioneering new construction hoist, the Alimak LSH, is set to launch in the Chinese market at Bauma China 2020, in Shanghai. The innovative new construction site hoist provides a number of benefits designed to drive more efficient operations compared to competing traction jump-lifts on the market. The construction hoist is designed to serve the highest levels of a construction site with the added benefit of fast installation.
Construction site hoists provide the most efficient means of vertical transportation for all construction sites, with Alimak’s industry-leading advances leading the way. The addition of an extra hoist inside the elevator shaft of a construction site provides the optimal solution for the transportation of workers when greater capacity is needed or space outside is limited. The Alimak LSH is optimised for use in elevator shafts with a compact design size of 1.8 x 1.5 metres and 2.8 metres in height that does not require a machine room. The Alimak LSH also boasts a payload capacity of up to 2000 kilograms.
As the construction of a building reaches higher levels, the height of the elevator shaft needs to be extended. Through rack & pinion elevator technology and the elimination of the counterweight, the Alimak LSH construction site hoist can be extended in half the time making it extremely cost-efficient. Many traction solutions are unable to reach such heights and fail to support concrete work at higher levels.
Prior to dismantling, the Alimak LSH construction hoist can be utilised for the installation of elevator guide rails on the inside of the elevator shaft. The bolted design of the LSH is easily dismantled by tower crane when accessed through the open elevator shaft at the top of the site.
